About us
A boutique agency, built in the Claude era.
Max ten clients at a time. Founder-led. We use Claude to do the reading, writing, and reporting so a small, good team can deliver what a large, generic one can't.
The short version
Prospect Engine started in 2020 as a cold-email agency. We got good at outreach, bad at leaving it alone. By 2024 we were writing more software than scripts. By 2026 it was clear: the agency model worth running is one where AI does the mechanical work and humans do the judgment work — and the only way to do that honestly is to charge like a boutique, stay small, and write the methods down in public.
So we reset. Ten clients at a time. One founder on every call. Claude absorbed inside the fee. Tutorials in the open.
Why Claude, specifically
We don't treat “AI” as a vague brand. We build on one model family and get deep at it. Claude, in our hands, is the most reliable tool for the kinds of work an agency actually does — reading a long brief, holding a week of conversation in mind, writing in a founder's voice without drifting into cliché.
We use Sonnet for the ninety percent of work that needs fast turns, Opus when a proposal needs to sing, and cheaper models (Kimi, others) where the task is bulk and tolerant. The orchestra matters more than any one instrument. We pay the API bill. You pay one fixed fee.
Why boutique
Most agencies grow by adding accounts until quality evaporates. We've watched it happen. Ten is the number at which a small team can stay close enough to each client to actually think. At eleven, someone becomes a template. We'd rather turn you away or put you on a waitlist than pretend.
Current roster
8 clients. 2 open slots.
We cap at ten so every client gets a founder on every call.
Why founder-led
Every first call is taken by the founder. Every strategic decision is reviewed by the founder. Not because delegation is bad — because judgement is what you're paying for, and judgement is the one thing a junior AM can't supply.
Why write the playbook in public
We publish tutorials that teach how we do the work. If you read them and build it yourself, we're not offended — that's the right outcome for some of you. The ones who hire us are the ones who've decided their time is better spent on something else. That's a better client anyway.
Who we work with
B2B founders and sales leaders at five-to-two-hundred-person companies. Agency owners. Consultancies. Solopreneurs running real businesses. The work is best when the founder has strong opinions about their market, a real product, and a frustration with the pace of things they can't quite pin down.
We turn away: active job-seekers looking for sales tricks, pure-consumer brands, direct CRM/sales-tool competitors, and anyone whose plan is to cut costs by replacing every human with an agent. That last one isn't what Claude is for.
Who we are
A small team across the US, Malaysia, and Bangladesh. A founder who codes, writes, and runs every call. Operators who care about the client more than the upsell. No sales quota, no BDR ladder, no quarterly pipeline theatre.
Where this is going
The AI-native agency, done well, is not a bigger agency. It's a smaller one doing better work because the model absorbed the grunt. We're building toward that, slowly, with whoever wants to come along.
Come talk. A conversation is free.
Thirty minutes. No slides. We'll tell you honestly whether we're the right fit — and if we're not, we'll tell you who is.
